We spent two wonderful weeks on our favourite island of Krk, from 12th to 26th of August. We had booked the apartment Marangunija in Kras and were delighted with the accommodation and the friendliness of our host Mrs. Mrsic. The modern and well-furnished apartment was clean and had air conditioning, which made it easy to bear the heat of days and nights.
The apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which were separated by a small hallway, so that our two sons (17 + 14 years) had their freedom. Both the living room and the kitchen exited to a spacious terrace with two loungers and outdoor sitting area, perfect to chill out in the evening. The apartment was well equipped with all the items specified in the web apartment description.
When we arrived we found a refrigerator filled with several drinks, coffee pods and cookies, a lovely greeting. Mrs. Mrsic was very thoughtful so that we didn't have to go shopping straight away after the long journey. There is a small village shop in Kras vilage, about 150 m from the apartment, where you can buy the most basic things. The large supermarkets in Malinska are about 10 minutes drive away.
The location of Kras in the middle of the island is very advantageous because you can enjoy your peaceful and quiet evenings and at night and yet it is less than 15 minutes to touristy towns of Krk, Vrbnik or Malinska and a short drive to the sandy beach of Risika. We were very happy with our holidays and the accommodation and will be happy to come back.
