Kornić is a small Mediterranean town surrounded by well-kept olive groves, located 6 km from the town of Krk and 3 km from Punat. It boasts beautiful views of the Punat bay which hosts the islet of Košljun.
The nearest beach, Dunat, was named after the church of St. Dunat (Donatus) dating from the period between the 9th and 12th century, and is located next to the beach. This area also includes the attractive sports facility, Wakeboard center ‘Cable Krk’ as well as Diving Center Krk.
Kornić hosts the parish church of St. Jakov (Jacob) from the 19th century, and the Ethno house Kornić, which was turned into a local museum in 2008 and whose ethnographic collection comprises as many as 1,300 objects from Krk’s history.
Kornić is known for its tradition of sheep farming and olive grooving, and offers its guests to spend an active holiday on the marked hiking trails with beautiful views of the sea and well-groomed ancient olive groves.
